Which Program is Right For Me?

"I felt like I was able to be confident in what I had been taught and use all of those skills immediately in the field. We learned such a broad base of knowledge, but we also took the time to study specialties so that no matter what we chose to do we had a solid base in that area." -Amanda P.

Nothing’s worse than wasting your time and hard-earned money…

You want to get in and out of school quickly so you can get on with your life in a career that you love, right?

We know you don’t want to waste your time with unnecessary gen-eds, in huge classes where it’s difficult to get the one-on-one help you need. After all, the whole reason you’re spending all this time and money going back to school is to make sure you graduate and pass your licensure exam so you can work.

We get it. We ONLY offer healthcare education programs, and we do this so we can devote all of our resources to this specialty. We’ve gone above and beyond to include an exclusive NCLEX prep program that helps prepare you for licensure throughout the duration of our programs. Our track record proves itself…BTC had a 100% NCLEX pass rate for all of our 2017 LPN and RN grads. On top of that, 100% of those students secured jobs after passing their licensure exam.

We think you’ll love it at BTC. From our small school feel, to our unbeatable NCLEX pass rate, we make our student’s success our number one priority.

Q&A

Besides the application, what all do I need to do to get into the program?

That depends on the program, so the best answer is to give us a call. In general, we will need copies of a few documents, two satisfactory background screenings, an entrance exam or two completed, and some medical records. Call us for the checklist though!

Ask A Question
What entrance exams do I need to take?

If you are applying for the Medical Assistant program or general education classes, you will take the Wonderlic exam.

If you are applying for one of the nursing programs, but are taking gen-ed classes before the program begins you will take the Wonderlic exam.

If you are applying for the LPN or RN program, you will take the Wonderlic exam and the TEAS exam.

If you are applying for the LPN to RN Bridge program, you will take the Wonderlic exam and the ATI LPN Comprehensive Predictor that asks nursing related questions.

If you are applying for the CMT program, you will take the TABE test.

Ask A Question
What programs do you offer?

We have a Medical Assistant program (option of an 8 month certificate program or a 4 semester Associate’s degree program). Also a Practical Nursing (LPN) program, Professional Nursing (RN) program, LPN to RN Bridge program, Nurse Assistant (CNA) course, and Medication Technician (CMT) course.

Ask A Question
Are your programs accredited?

Yes, we are accredited! Our entire institution is accredited by Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools. This includes our Professional Nursing (RN), Practical Nursing (LPN), and Medical Assistant (MA) program.

Ask A Question
How do gen-eds work?

We offer the general education classes at our campus, which makes it easier for our students. Unlike other schools, our general education classes are part of our program and can be taken during your program. This allows a student to get in and out faster; however, a lot of our students take the general education classes before their program begins, which lightens the full-time course load. Give Admissions a call to see which option might work best for you.

Ask A Question
What prerequisites do I need for my program?

The only program that has prerequisites is the Professional Nursing Bridge program. The RN Bridge program is for current licensed LPNs. If you are applying for the Bridge program you will need to complete the 18 credit hours BEFORE the program begins.

All other programs do not have prerequisites, so you can get started right away.

Ask A Question
Do your programs have additional help if students need it?

Yes! As long as the student is trying and wants to succeed, our instructors will do everything in their power to help students achieve their goals. We offer Success Labs and one-on-one or small group tutoring with instructors, and more if additional help is needed.
