Bolivar Technical
College students may apply for scholarships, grants, or
loans to assist them with school expenses. Scholarships
and grants are sums of money given to an eligible student
to be applied toward the student's educational costs. Students
do not repay scholarships or grants but must meet specific
requirements to receive them. Various loans are also available
to assist students with educational costs. These loans must
be repaid according to specific terms.
Bolivar Technical
College's administrative office staff will provide information
and various forms needed to determine financial aid eligibility.
Financial aid forms must be accurate and complete. Students
applying for financial aid, financial assistance or scholarships
must verify program eligibility. Once status of eligibility
is established, an award letter will be sent to the student.
Though applicants
are encouraged to seek financial aid, students should not
rely solely on these monies to support themselves throughout
the academic year. Students receiving any form of financial
aid are required to meet standards for satisfactory academic
progress and attendance. Proof of such progress on a quarterly
basis is verified prior to any disbursements of financial
aid. Failure to meet satisfactory academic progress or satisfactory
attendance requirements may result in the termination or
reduction of financial aid. Though Bolivar Technical College's
financial aid officer is responsible for accurate distribution,
explanation, documentation with validation of federal financial
aid requirements, it is the student's responsibility to
comply with all requests in a timely fashion if the student
wishes to continue receiving benefits.

Scholarships
Bolivar Technical College awards private scholarships on
a year-round basis. To apply for a scholarship, the student
must request and submit a scholarship application. Local
business and individual donors provide the funds for these
scholarships.
Scholarships
are available only when a student is initially accepted.
After the scholarship application is submitted to the admissions
representative for review of its completeness, it is forwarded
to the scholarship committee. To be considered, a student
must demonstrate a financial need. The amount of monies
awarded will vary according to the scholarship funds available.
An award letter will be mailed directly to the student notifying
him/her of scholarship award.
Scholarship
monies will be applied to the student's account for tuition,
books, and/or supplies. All scholarships will be applied
at the end of the student's program. If a student who receives
a scholarship drops from the program of enrollment and/or
is terminated from the program, he/she forfeits the scholarship.
Any scholarship monies granted will be rescinded and cannot
be used to pay any tuition/fees owed.
